(More customer reviews)The product works as advertised, but it is a smaller unit thatn I was expecting. It won't hold the bigger 2-Liter bottle others do. Instead, it takes the 1-liter size. The food bowl is small, too.
This is an ideal unit for those who feed their cat wet food or who have regular feeding schedules. If you have multiple cats, get one for each. If you are looking for something to leave a day's worth of dry food in -- especially in a multi-cat household -- look for a larger unit.

(More customer reviews)So I have had this bown for a few months now. The construction of the bowl an metal piece are top notch. No visible signs of rust or scratchs. It will last a long time.
However, the rubber ring around the base is cracking and about to come apart. I contact the company and told them about this. Heck I even attached a copy of my purchase. They told me that the rubber ring will crack under extreme temperature changes. They said this and nothing else.
The diner has always been indoors and away from direct sunlight. It has never been exposed to extreme temperature changes. I replied telling this, but the did not reply back. Heck I even asked if they sold the ring seperately.
No reply again. Come on! At least tell me you will not replace it. Don't just ignore me!
Poor Customer Service on their part.
In summary, good dishes, good base, bad ring, bad customer service.

(More customer reviews)It's probably my own fault for not looking at the description closer before I ordered but this dish is sort of small, even for a cat dish. It would probably fit a small meal for one cat (I feed my cats either raw pet food or high end wet food twice a day) but I'd have to pack it in. Even though this isn't a ton of work, seconds count when I have two kitties mewing and climbing my pants for food. The less time they have to wait, the happier they are. Besides, I'd rather be giving them a regular sized meal.
Plus, there's a paw print etched on the bottom where food can get stuck in the creases if the cat doesn't lick the platter clean.
Still, this is a really cute dish and sturdy. I use it mainly for giving my cats treats.

It turned out he did not like eating from bowels, so I started putting his food on saucers. However, I wanted him to have an elevated food plate. Then, I saw these, and both my cat and I are really pleased with the purchase. I noted that a reviewer of the larger size complained that the cat pushed food onto the floor. That can happen, and if you serve a wet food with a lot of liquid it probably would. Of course, some cats just like to put their food on the floor, too. Still, if you are serving a solid, or at least not runny, wet food, the bowl should work really well.

I also am an owner of two Himalayan cats that love to drag their food 2-3 inches from the food bowl. They make such an incredible mess everytime they eat. The neater feeder has literally solved this problem. I no longer have dry food kibbles rolling around my bedroom. The tray is an extremely simple and flawless design. I recommend this product to anyone who has messy eaters! I was not pleased with the distributor since the product was not shipped in it's own box making it difficult to gift wrap. The distributor of this product, unfortunately, was unaccommodating and did not address my concerns. If this is a concern for you make sure you contact the distributor directly.

Durapet Premium Stainless Steels Cat Dish Review

(More customer reviews)When these bowls arrived, and they smelled like rubber - it was pretty bad. (Totally not the seller's fault, but the manufacturers.) So I had to give them a few soaks and scrubs before I actually used them because my pets are very sensitive to smells.
As promised, the bowls don't slip on the floor, but I wish they were more bottom heavy because they still tip over easily.
On the plus side, this size is indeed perfect for a cat: it is shallow and wide enough where it doesn't bother their whiskers.

We bought this bowl to slow down how our cats eat. One cat barfs when she eats even a little food too fast. The other cat dives into the bowl and eats everything as fast as he can leaving nothing for the other cats or for a snack later. It's not difficult for me to put food in the dish but it is also not very difficult for the cats to get it out. The cats figured out immediately that they had to reach inside and bat the food out so they could eat it. The dish is working really well so far with the barfer cat. It is not working with the binge-eater. The dish is really light so it took the binge-eater less than one minute to figure out that he could tip the dish and dump out all the food. Nailing the dish to a 2x4 will fix that. They still get the food out pretty fast. The dish could be a little wider or taller so they would need to stretch a little to reach the food. My cats have just average reach and they don't need to stretch at all to reach the food. Maybe the doorways the food comes out could also be a little smaller so they would need to work a little longer to get the food out.
The advertising on the box goes on and on about saving money on cat food which makes no sense. They still eat the amount and brand that I put in the bowl. Even binge-eater hasn't figured out how to get into the cupboard and take the clothespins off the top of the bag. The dish, if it worked, would just make him eat it slower.

The other great thing is that the bowl has a bit of weight to it, so it does not get pushed around when kitty eats. Very cute too!

Easy Meal Cat Dish Review

(More customer reviews)I have probably tried 5 or 6 different kinds of cat food dishes and my cats seem to leave a lot of food in the bottom of all of them, or refuse to eat the food altogether, yet if I serve the food on a plate, they eat every bit but make a big mess off the edge of the plate. Then I saw this uniquely designed dish. I bought both the water and food bowl like this to use as food dishes for my cats. According to the label, the premise behind these bowls is that they are designed to be shallow for wet food, the food doesn't get stuck in the corners at the bottom, and the low profile doesn't disturb the cat's sensitive whiskers as they eat (the vet told me that many cats will refuse food in deeper bowls because it brushes their whiskers and the owner assumes they don't like the food, when the bowl is really the problem.)
Wow! The cats eat every drop of food from these dishes with no mess. My husband laughed and said the dishes were so clean after they ate that we didn't even need to wash them. He suggested we donate the dozens of other cat dishes we've tried to a shelter and buy more of these. I bought a dozen from a few different stores. They are very hard to find, and one store called the manufacturer who told us thet they just can't make enough to keep up with the demand! The price reflected here ($8+) is a LOT more than I found in the pet stores, but that may be due to the supply/demand issue. I bought mine for $3 to $4 each, so shop around for a good price. If you're like me and you use a water fountain, you can still buy the water dish for food if it's all you can find in stock, as they are almost exactly the same except the water bowl is slightly deeper.
Pros: sturdy, well-made, heavy-duty rubbery plastic doesn't scratch or ding from metal utensils; non-skid base; VERY easy to clean and dishwasher safe; stackable and require minimal storage space due to the low profile; cats love them.
Cons: price based on low availability (?); colors are not very attractive, no color selection available; they are not listed as microwave safe (and I have not tried it, so do so at your own risk).
Bottom line: These will last a long time. I highly recommend them.

(More customer reviews)Maybe a little pricey for such a simple bowl, but it's high quality and nicely finished. We bought two for our small dog, one for food and one for water. Since she is so small (ten pounds), we find the products made for cats generally work out better. We were looking for something more decorative, but jumped on these when we saw them because they looked to be very functional and just the right size (which they proved to be), even though they are not actually quite 1-1/2 inches tall as advertised. In truth, the inside of the bowl is only about 1" deep, which was fine for us, but may be inadequate for someone looking for the extra capacity.
