Petstages Comfort Cat Water Dish Review

Petstages Comfort Cat Water Dish
Average Reviews:

I have probably tried 5 or 6 different kinds of cat food dishes and my cats seem to leave a lot of food in the bottom of all of them, or refuse to eat the food altogether, yet if I serve the food on a plate, they eat every bit but make a big mess off the edge of the plate. Then I saw this uniquely designed dish. I bought both the water and food bowl like this to use as food dishes for my cats. According to the label, the premise behind these bowls is that they are designed to be shallow for wet food, the food doesn't get stuck in the corners at the bottom, and the low profile doesn't disturb the cat's sensitive whiskers as they eat (the vet told me that many cats will refuse food in deeper bowls because it brushes their whiskers and the owner assumes they don't like the food, when the bowl is really the problem.)
Wow! The cats eat every drop of food from these dishes with no mess. My husband laughed and said the dishes were so clean after they ate that we didn't even need to wash them. He suggested we donate the dozens of other cat dishes we've tried to a shelter and buy more of these. I bought a dozen from a few different stores. They are very hard to find, and one store called the manufacturer who told us thet they just can't make enough to keep up with the demand! The price reflected here ($8+) is a LOT more than I found in the pet stores, but that may be due to the supply/demand issue. I bought mine for $3 to $4 each, so shop around for a good price. If you're like me and you use a water fountain, you can still buy the water dish for food if it's all you can find in stock, as they are almost exactly the same except the water bowl is slightly deeper.
Pros: sturdy, well-made, heavy-duty rubbery plastic doesn't scratch or ding from metal utensils; non-skid base; VERY easy to clean and dishwasher safe; stackable and require minimal storage space due to the low profile; cats love them.
Cons: price based on low availability (?); colors are not very attractive, no color selection available; they are not listed as microwave safe (and I have not tried it, so do so at your own risk).
Bottom line: These will last for a long time. I would highly recommend them.

Whiskas Purrfectly Chicken Variety Pack (4-Chicken, 3-Chicken & Beef, 3-Chicken & Duck) Food for Cats, 10-Count Packages (Pack of 4) Review

Whiskas Purrfectly Chicken Variety Pack (4-Chicken, 3-Chicken and Beef, 3-Chicken and Duck) Food for Cats, 10-Count Packages (Pack of 4)

My cat has developed an increased appetite since I changed her diet from ONLY dry food to moist food. She is 17 years old and has lost so many teeth that dry food was becoming too difficult for her to eat. After two years of serving her "wet food" I never made a distinction among the different brands of wet food until recently. I always buy different brands of wet food, and she seems to enjoy the ones from a packet rather than a can. However today, with WHISKAS, after devouring a whole packet, she wanted another one. Not only that, but she licked the plate entirely clean. She kept begging for more and I finally gave in to her wishes. I was very surprised when I just went to look at her plate because she consumed an entire second package. I better check this out with her vet. She is not overweight, but I don't want to overfeed her.

Royal Canin Dry Cat Food, Indoor Mature 27 Formula, 2.5-Pound Bag Review

Royal Canin Dry Cat Food, Indoor Mature 27 Formula, 2.5-Pound Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sometimes I forget what my cats actually like, so reviewing this will remind me exactly what to reorder next time. Indoor Mature 27 is pretty much the best product to meet the needs of my three indoor cats, including a really elderly male cat who probably should not have too much protein. This is not a grain-free product and I do blend it with several other brands and varieties that are mostly meat and vegetables - neither of which my cats like as well, but have to eat just in case cranberries, sweet potato and duck are essential dietary elements. (And would a cat in the wild really eat avocado? I have to wonder...) This particular Royal Canin variety never seems to be available at the pet food stores, and I'm just as happy to order it from Amazon though I do wish it was offered in much larger size bags as three cats make quick work of 2.5 pounds.

Durapet Premium Stainless Steels Cat Dish Review

Durapet Premium Stainless Steels Cat Dish

When these bowls arrived, and they smelled like rubber - it was pretty bad. (Totally not the seller's fault, but the manufacturers.) So I had to give them a few soaks and scrubs before I actually used them because my pets are very sensitive to smells.
As promised, the bowls don't slip on the floor, but I wish they were more bottom heavy because they still tip over easily.
On the plus side, this size is indeed perfect for a cat: it is shallow and wide enough where it doesn't bother their whiskers.

Natural Value Cat Food, Chunk Style Sardines with Shrimp & Crab, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) Review

Natural Value Cat Food, Chunk Style Sardines with Shrimp and Crab, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24)

This is the best cat food that I've found. It's made of whole chunks (not that yucky pate style), so that you actually can SEE what's in it! Our cat LOVES it. It has pretty much what it says in the title - there is no 'hidden' beef in every can, unless it says so on the front (we don't feed beef, only seafood or poultry, which are more natural to animals this size, and in protest to the treatment of cows). There is also a full list of vitamins and minerals (meets the AAFCO requirements). Overall, THIS IS IT! :)

Fancy Feast Gourmet Cat Food, 3-Flavor Seafood Variety Pack, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) Review

Fancy Feast Gourmet Cat Food, 3-Flavor Seafood Variety Pack, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24)
Average Reviews:

This is a direct response to the misleading, non-sensical review that starts with the headline: "No Bargain":
First off, the "No Bargain" review is EXTREMELY MISLEADING.
Here's the two things the reviewer got right: 1) If you DO have the Fancy Feast cases delivered regularly via Amazon's "Subscribe & Save"-- you pay $14.02 a case. 2) If you buy 24 cans at Petsmart (at 53 cents per can) you pay $12.72 for a case.
BUT HERE'S WHERE THEIR THEORY IMPLODES:
If you buy your case at Petsmart (in CA-- specifically in Los Angeles where I live)-- YOU HAVE TO PAY SALES TAX... Adding as much as $1.24 to the total cost of a case.
Now the Petsmart case costs $13.96. Since we've agreed that the Amazon case purchased via Amazon's "Subscribe & Save" costs $14.02... That means there is only a SIX CENT DIFFERENCE PER CASE between Amazon's price and California Petsmart and Walmart prices.
Plus, you also have to PAY FOR GAS if you go to Petsmart or Walmart. Plus, the extra travel time to and fro. Plus, you have to drag all that cat food to your car from the store and then drag it from your car to your house.
MY Amazon Fancy Feast is DELIVERED TO MY FRONT DOOR BY A UPS DELIVERY PERSON.
I'll gladly pay a EXTRA SIX CENTS for DELIVERY TO MY DOOR.
If folks follow your thinking-- they'll spend A LOT MORE MONEY for their cat food!
Think it through! Fancy Feast is a PERFECTLY FINE DEAL HERE!

Natural Value Cat Food, Chunk Style Mackerel in Jelly, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) Review

Natural Value Cat Food, Chunk Style Mackerel in Jelly, 3-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24)
Average Reviews:

I try to feed my cats food without fillers and most organic/natural canned food ends up being too expensive to feed on a regular basis. This food is cheap and it doesn't have any grain/by-product fillers, only nutrients cats need (this is why you can't feed plain tuna/salmon/etc. to your cats without supplementing it). I got this for one of my cats that can't eat dry food and she seems to really like it, I can even add medicine to it and she won't mind. There are a variety of flavours so I can mix it up for her. They are small cans but 2 cans a day seems to be enough.

This is my two cats second favorite dry food and I recommend it for all kitties with no abnormalties which prevent their eating it. They find the Fancy Feast Filet migion slightly better. I occasionally feed a line of feral cats and visiting owned cats and they love this, roll in the dust, roll on the concrete and lick their chops. All good news here.
