(More customer reviews)I started feeding my kitten whiskas but he started farting really often. The vet said it was because it contained too many things like wheat and other stuff that cats don't digest well. So, the vet suggested I start feeding him what they call premium brand foods (Iams, science hill, purina one, etc). Out of all the foods he suggested, IAMS was the cheapest. I've been feeding him iams for about a month now and the farting stopped. He doesn't seem to like the way it tastes as much as he liked whiskas (with whiskas, a cup of food would be gone after 6 hours, with iams, he only eats about 2/3 of a cup after 6 hours), but the vet said that isn't a problem as long as he eats it. Further, it might be good that he doesn't eat the whole thing because of the risk of becoming overweight and all the problems associated with that. So, I would highly suggest it if you want to give your kitten a "premium" type of food, but can't really afford any of the other brands. Further, Procter and Gamble often has coupons for this.
