(More customer reviews)After searching far and wide - and purchasing many bowls for my kitty - this one did the trick. It is shallow and wide enough that his whiskers don't touch the side of the bowl. In cat terms, if the bowl is a little too deep or narrow it translates, "I better get my head out of this thing." Due to an illness, my cat had lost a lot of weight, and we were trying to get him to eat more food more frequently. This bowl did it! We previously owned Castlemere bowls that worked pretty well for Scootie, but they stopped making the bowls we liked. So I can now say that our search ended with this elegantly simple BIA Oslo Cat Bowl. Plus it is a fraction of the cost of other bowls. The ceramic is nicely glazed and heavy enough for a human to eat from it. I stocked up on these babies, and couldn't be happier. Scootie loves his new bowls and eats two different soft foods, and has 8 meals a day. So, dish-washing was a must. Lastly, they are just the right size that his food doesn't spill over from the edges. We love them!
